Getting better

by dave 5/20/2008 4:56:00 PM

The boats that caught only 10 walleyes on opening day caught 30 walleyes today.  The bite has been better everyday.  Bill Sorenson and I snuck out today and caught some really nice trout today on a small bush lake.  We had 6 trout between 24 and 26 inches.  White tube jigs with a sliver of sucker meat.  Water was still chilly, only 43 degrees on that lake.  Numbers of walleye are picking up from all accounts.  For all you grouse hunters, looks like a great year ahead.  Everyone of our guest out and about are seeing lots of grouse, looks like they wintered well.  See you guys in  September.

Thanks for reading

Dave
