We are having to move around a bit to find active fish (different lakes). Most large area walleyes lakes are too cold and slow. Running water on any lake is for sure a fisrt choice. We had good catches on two lakes that were dark in color and 2 degree warmer than most others. 50 degrees seem to be the key. Surface temps are still averging below that right now. Weather is still in the 50's and cloudy. It is nice to be centrally located here at Pickerel Creek Camp, we are getting out and fishing alot of different water and are able to find a decent bite in a rough time. Pickerel lake was slow yesturday with 15 walleyes per boat average down from 30 the day before. Everybody is looking for warmer temps, air and water. Keep the emails coming for lake specific reports and thanks for all the good feed back we have been getting on the new blog.
